The French Pictures were drawn during a trip to France in 2011.  I had been invited by Jerome Catz the director of Space Junk Galleries to show some pictures in the 2011 Lyon Biennale.  I had a solo exhibition with Jerome’s Space Junk Gallery in Bayonne in 2008.  The section of the Biennale I was in was called ‘Les Enfants Terrible’ and I was pleased to be included because the great American underground comic artist Robert Crumb was also in this section. The drawings were made on the streets and parks of Paris and Lyon and coloured later in my studio in Sydney.
